Fact versus interpretation

With regard to fact versus interpretation, you might guess my views: There may be facts, but all we have available to us are interpretations, at least for the hard stuff. Some of these may be more well founded than others, but determining the truth of any is problematic, to say the least. The more broadly I read, the less certain of anything I become, except that being able to tell a good story has little to do with true belief.
